My name is Pojia Tsang, I am an artist based in Burnaby, BC, Canada.  I paint animals, people, landscapes, and still life. I specialize in pet portraits.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Liberal Arts Certificate from the School of Contemporary Art’s Visual Art Program and Philosophy at Simon Fraser University, BC, Canada. My painting medium is oil on canvas.  I create beautiful, artistic, and original paintings in oil.  Each painting is painted by hand with great attention and care using professional canvases and oil paints. I have a detailed, realistic, and expressive style that is influenced by Realism, Impressionism, and Expressionism.  I am inspired by the Impressionist and classical painters such as Van Gough, Monet, Raphael, Ingres, Cassatt, Vermeer, and Sargent.

Dogs inspired me to paint.  I started painting my dogs many years ago as art therapy.  I combined art and pets, the two very therapeutic subjects to create many beautiful paintings for myself and other people.

I hope to deliver unique paintings throughout my art career.  I aim to create personalized paintings for my clients and paintings that are distinctive and artistic.  My art focuses on genuineness and natural presentation of the subjects; nevertheless I aim to constantly change my methodology and philosophy as I learn and grow as an artist.
